What we do
Our work falls into six kinds of jobs: emergency and storm response, tree removal, trimming and pruning, stumps and roots, tree health care, and commercial and community work. Most of it is residential, in the oak-shaded yards and palm-lined lots that make up so much of Tampa, with offices, churches, schools and HOAs alongside.
Much of what we do is about restraint: lowering wood on ropes instead of dropping it, thinning a live oak instead of topping it, telling a homeowner that a tree needs pruning rather than removal. The goal is a yard that is safer after we leave, and trees that are still there when they should be.

The trees we work on most
Tampa yards are dominated by a handful of species, and each brings its own work. Live oaks grow dense, heavy canopies that need interior thinning so wind passes through in hurricane season. Laurel oaks grow fast but typically live 50 to 70 years and rot inside as they age, so many of our removals are old laurel oaks over roofs. Sabal palms fill the open yards of Brandon, Riverview and Lutz, and slash and longleaf pines tower over many lots.
After Helene and Milton in 2024, the pattern was clear: waterlogged soil let even wind-resistant trees fail, laurel oaks did the most damage, and healthy, well-pruned trees mostly stayed standing. That is why so much of our work is the unglamorous kind done in spring, before anything breaks.
How a job runs, from the call to the cleanup
- 1The call
Tell us what the tree is doing and what is underneath it. Any hour, the same line.
- 2A look at the tree
We walk it, measure the trunk and check what it would hit.
- 3A straight answer
Prune, support, remove or leave it, with the reason.
- 4A written price
Method, permit, stump and cleanup spelled out.
- 5Permits first
Filed before the work is booked when the tree needs one.
- 6The work
Rigged and lowered over anything breakable, never dropped.
- 7Cleanup
Brush chipped, wood hauled or stacked, yard raked.

What stays the same on every job
Where we work
Most of our work is inside Hillsborough County, from the older neighborhoods of Tampa out through Brandon, Riverview and Plant City, with regular jobs north into Pasco and Hernando, west across the bay into Pinellas, and east to Lakeland. The service area page explains the regions, the rules that change at each county line, and where our coverage ends.
Two offices, one phone line
Our service office in Tampa sends most of the crews; our head office sits in Hudson on the Pasco side. Both answer the same number, around the clock.

Who writes our guides
Jolene Inman is our Tree Care Guides Author. She writes and updates the tree care guides on this site, turning the questions our crews hear on the phone into plain answers for Tampa homeowners, and keeps them current with the local permit rules and published price ranges they cite.
