Resolute Tree Care works across five Tampa Bay counties: Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando around Spring Hill, and western Polk around Lakeland. The Tampa service office sends crews to Hillsborough, Pinellas and Polk jobs; the Hudson head office covers Pasco and Hernando. Each county and city page below explains the local tree rules.
Two offices, one phone line
Every call goes to the same line, answered around the clock, and the crew is sent from whichever office makes sense for the job. The rules change more than the trees do as you cross city and county lines, so each region below notes what is different about tree work there.
Coverage here means places we work every week, not a circle drawn around an office on a map. The regions run roughly in order of how much of our work happens in each, starting with the city itself.
Tampa and the older city neighborhoods
Inside the City of Tampa, a removal permit applies once a trunk is 5 inches across, pruning needs one at 24 inches, and Grand Trees at 32 inches need public notice. Older South Tampa lots bring narrow side yards and mature canopy with no path for a chipper, and USF researchers found South Tampa and East Tampa lost the most canopy in 2024. In Carrollwood and Town 'n' Country we see Ganoderma on live oaks and bronzing sabals, and Temple Terrace runs its own tree code starting at 12 inches.

East Hillsborough: Brandon to Plant City
East of the city the lots open up. Brandon and Riverview carry mostly sabal palms in open yards, easy ground-crew work, but falling laurel oaks damaged homes in a Brandon neighborhood in 2024. Farther out, massive oaks are common in Valrico, Bloomingdale and Plant City, where live oak canopies need interior thinning before storm season. Unincorporated Hillsborough County issues its own tree permits, and an arborist affidavit brings the result back in about five days.

North toward Pasco
North of the city, Lutz is mostly open yards and sabal palms before the county line. Pasco's 2026 tree code requires a permit for native trees 5 inches or more across, from Wesley Chapel and Land O' Lakes out to Hudson, while New Port Richey keeps its own city rules. Much of Pasco sits on the same high water table as Hillsborough, so soaked soil lets shallow-rooted trees fail in storms. Our head office in Hudson also covers Spring Hill, just over the Hernando County line.

Across the bay in Pinellas
In Pinellas County we work from Palm Harbor down through Clearwater and Largo to St. Petersburg. Unincorporated Pinellas, including Palm Harbor, has protected only trees over 24 inches on homesteaded single-family homes since January 2026, while St. Petersburg and Clearwater keep their own stricter permits. Waterfront lots add mangroves, which follow the state trimming law, and the same high water table means storm-soaked soil and shallow roots.

Where our coverage ends
We would rather tell you up front than send a crew that arrives late. Our regular work covers Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco, with Spring Hill in Hernando County and Lakeland in Polk County as the outer edges. Manatee County to the south and most of Polk beyond Lakeland are outside our usual routes. If you are near the edge, call; for some jobs we can still come, and if not, we will say so plainly.
Our two offices
Both offices share one phone line, answered 24/7. Crews are sent from whichever is closer to the job.
