Updated October 2026
We handle tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, land clearing and storm work across Pasco County from our head office in Hudson. Unincorporated Pasco updated its tree code in 2026: native trees 5 inches or larger need a removal permit, non-native trees are generally exempt, and developer-planted trees on an approved plan can need one even when smaller.
Coast, lakes and new subdivisions
Pasco runs from the Gulf coast at Hudson and Port Richey inland past lakes and cypress heads to the new master-planned communities around Wesley Chapel. A single week can take a crew from salt-burned palms on the coast to young street oaks in a subdivision to acreage that needs clearing.
With the head office in Hudson, west Pasco calls are a short drive, and east Pasco is in easy reach of both offices.
East Pasco is changing fastest, with farmland and woods turning into neighborhoods. Lot clearing there is about saving the right trees, protecting their root zones during construction and removing the ones that will not survive the grading. On the coast, the work is older trees, salt and storm cleanup.
Pasco's trees, old and new
Older coastal neighborhoods carry big laurel oaks, slash pines and sabal palms, many planted decades ago and now leaning or declining. In the newer communities the trees are young, which makes this the right time for structural pruning that keeps them from becoming tomorrow's storm problems.
The high water table here, as across Tampa Bay, means soaked soil can let shallow-rooted trees fail in storms that well-anchored trees ride out.

Pasco County's 2026 tree rules
Unincorporated Pasco County, which includes Hudson, Wesley Chapel and Land O' Lakes, now requires a tree removal permit for native trees 5 inches DBH or larger. Non-native trees are generally exempt, multi-trunk trees are measured as one, and trees a developer planted on an approved landscape plan can need a permit even when smaller. HOAs often add their own approval. We check every address before work.
